Checkmk Agent by tribe29 GmbH is a lightweight, extensible host monitoring agent that collects detailed system and application data and delivers it to the Checkmk monitoring platform for discovery, alerting, and visualization. Designed for low overhead and high reliability, it provides deep insights into the health and performance of servers and endpoints across Linux, Windows, and other Unix-like systems.
Out of the box, the agent gathers comprehensive metrics and states for CPU, memory, disks and filesystems, processes and services, network interfaces and connectivity, and system logs. Its modular plugin architecture makes it easy to extend coverage to applications and middleware such as databases and web servers, while “local checks” let you publish custom metrics with minimal effort.
